Epic New Forest Fossil Hunt (From Zero to Hero!)
In today’s adventure, we’re heading deep into the streams of the New Forest, UK, for some winter fossil hunting. December might be cold, but the heavy rain has been working in our favor—eroding the Bracklesham Clay and washing out some incredible prehistoric treasures! The day started off slow, and for a moment, I thought I’d be going home empty-handed. But after a quick change of location to a different stream, the luck shifted. We started finding a huge variety of marine fossils dating back to the Eocene Epoch (around 40 million years ago). From delicate gastropods to ancient shark teeth and bivalves, the clay was finally giving up its secrets.
