L'attention flottante en psychanalyse : pour une meilleure écoute
✨ "Thinking and Practicing as a Psychoanalyst" Training → info & registration: https://lapsychanalyste.fr/formation-... Listening better would mean concentrating more, grasping every word, missing nothing. Analytical listening does the opposite. This video explains why. Freud gave it a name in 1912: equally free-floating attention. No element privileged in advance, no hypothesis to confirm, an openness equal to everything that is said. Bion took the concept further in 1967: listening without memory and without desire. Without the patient's file, without previous sessions, without the desire for the patient to get better. The desire to cure clutters the ear: it makes us hear what we are looking for. This video examines the helping relationship reflexes that stifle communication (reassuring, advising, understanding too quickly, filling the silence), what free-floating attention reveals in their place (the insistent word, the gap between what is said and how it is delivered, the surprising slip of the tongue), and the real obstacle: the fear of doing nothing. A practical exercise to try in your next session is suggested at the end of the video. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 The Reflex That Cuts You Off 00:40 What You'll Take Away With You 02:15 The Four Reflexes of the Helping Relationship 05:30 Free-Floating Attention: Freud, Bion 09:30 The Word That Emphasizes, the Gap, the Surprise 13:45 "If I Don't Intervene, I'm Not Doing Anything" 16:15 The Exercise for Your Next Session 18:00 Learning to Listen by Listening ✨ My "Thinking and Practicing as a Psychoanalyst" Training All dates and registration details are here: https://lapsychanalyste.fr/formation-... 📩 To receive my exclusive content on psychoanalysis and be informed of my upcoming sessions: https://lapsychanalyste.fr/etudier-la...
