Vlog #11 HOW TO FIND THE KTM 890R CHAIN TENSION REFERENCE POINT

UPDATE JUNE 2022 AFTER THE 12 MONTH SERVICE THE CHAIN TENSION, AS SET BY THE KTM DEALER IS NOW TIGHTER AT 11MM AND NOT BETWEEN 2-5MM AS STATED IN THE SERVICE MANUAL.GEARBOX ETC HAS ALL BEDDED IN NICLEY AND SO THE COMMENTS BELOW BY WERE CORRECT AT THAT TIME. THE QUICKSHIFTER IS NOW BETTER, NOT PERFECT, WITH A TIGHTER CHAIN.....THATS KTM FOR YOU! ORIGINAL TEXT Quick shifter was not that brilliant, very notchy. Same still after the first service and i had told the service guys this. QS software was all good, but still notchy. Basically the chain was too tight, so i have adjusted it as per how KTM say it should be, result is that QS is so much better now with a correctly adjusted chain. I am no technician so if I've got anything wrong etc please post in the comments section below .
