Igwe Ndigbo coronation debate continues

The coronation of a Nigerian national as “Igwe Ndigbo Na East London” in the Eastern Cape has sparked debate around sovereignty, traditional law, and the role of diaspora communities. The Nigerian Union South Africa clarified that the move is not intended to replicate or compete with existing traditional authorities in the province.
