From Pallet Wood to Japanese Furniture | Torii Table Build

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. In this episode of Samurai Joinery, I take on my biggest furniture project yet—the first prototype of my Japanese-inspired Torii Table. Built from reclaimed pallet timber and pine, this project challenged me to develop new joinery techniques, solve unexpected problems, and refine a design that evolved throughout the build. From hand-cut joinery and custom jigs to floating feet, Black Japan finishes and custom Torii-inspired drawer handles, every detail helped shape the identity of what I hope will become the first piece in the Samurai Joinery collection. This isn't just a woodworking project. It's part of my journey to build a premium furniture brand from the ground up—one project at a time. If you enjoyed following the build, I'd really appreciate your support by liking the video, subscribing to the channel, and joining me for the next episode. Stay tuned for a future update where I'll let you know if the Torii Table finds a new home.
