Six Children Found in Hot Car in Salina

Two Salina parents are facing multiple charges after police say they left six children inside a hot vehicle outside a Wingstop restaurant Wednesday afternoon. Officers responded to reports of children left in the car for up to 30 minutes in 97-degree heat, with the air conditioning off and only one window partially open. Police say the children ranged in age from 7 months to 13 years old. All six were evaluated by EMS before being taken into protective custody. The parents were arrested on six counts of aggravated child endangerment as the investigation continues.
