The Wreck of IJN Tone - Aviation Cruiser Sunk by Aircraft

When you look at Japanese cruisers, the Tone-class certainly stick out. All their turrets on the bow, with the stern turned over entirely to operating floatplanes. The first of the ships, Tone herself, would almost survive the war. Only to be sunk in the same Kure attacks I've been covering for awhile now. There's not a huge amount of material on her wreck. What there is, however, remains interesting. And we'll be looking at that, in this video.
