In the ninth season of "Auf und davon" (Up and Away), SRF once again followed Swiss citizens who had embarked on the great adventure of emigration. We look back with the emigrants on an eventful year. Yasmine and Max Hensler had spent years searching for a new life for themselves and their two children, Janne and Kimi, in Scandinavia. In Swedish Lapland, they found a hotel and campsite in need of renovation. However, building a new life far from home proved too much for the couple. In their first year abroad, they stumbled into a severe relationship crisis. How are Yasmine and Max doing today? Have they overcome their crisis? And have they managed to get their holiday resort up and running? Cornelia Breitschmid and Jean-Marie Suter, administrative employees from Aargau, gave up their secure jobs to build a holiday village in Morocco. Their dream was grand, but the Moroccan bureaucracy proved even more formidable. The authorities kept putting the Swiss couple off – so often, in fact, that they'd had enough and finally halted the construction project. They simply rented a guest villa in the hinterland of Essaouira. What do the couple from Aargau think about their once grand plans today? Did they give up too soon? And what's it like running a guesthouse? "Off and away" is the motto of the Blum family from Davos. They didn't emigrate, but their plan was all the more audacious: a camel trek through the Australian Outback. For six months, they trained wild camels, accustoming them to people and to their work as draft animals for a covered wagon. The desert animals were unpredictable and headstrong. But the owners of the animals caused them real problems. What do Sabrina and Markus think about this conflict today? And how do they manage to squeeze a touch of adventure out of their everyday life in Davos?
