When the water is heated to a temperature over 60 °C, limescale forms in the water heater, another problem is hard water, which has a lot of minerals in it that turn into limescale and stick mostly to the heater of the water heater, but also to the pot of the water heater. Today I showed you how to clean the water heater from scale and dirt yourself, and on this water heater we additionally changed the anode because the old anode was worn out and we removed the scale from the heater. When limescale collects on the boiler heater, it takes longer to heat the water and at the same time consumes more electricity, which is reason enough to clean it. In this video, it is explained step by step what we need to do in order to open the water heater, clean it of scale and then reassemble everything so that it works as it should. The first and most important thing is to take care of our safety, and we will do that in the first step when we turn off the water heater at the main fuse on the switch and then check with the water heater whether we have electricity on the boiler wires, if the water heater does not show electricity, it means that we are safe for the future handling the water heater and that we can freely repair or clean it.
