Originally planning to seek refuge from the wind in the sheltered bayou, targeting reds and trout along the oyster beds, our luck proved elusive after nearly an hour of trying. Undeterred, we shifted gears and decided to face the turbulent winds head-on by venturing into the back lake. The water was choppy, the conditions were tough, but our determination paid off as we managed to hook into a massive redfish.
