Undiscovered Valles Caldera National Preserve | New Mexico

Valles Caldera National Preserve in Northern New Mexico protects a large portion of the Valles Caldera, an area of significant geological, ecological and cultural interest. It has a land area of 89,216 acres. We visited in the summer of 2019. Locations: Cabin - Down the main preserve road on the left near the end. Soda Dam - Highway 4, north of Jemez Springs, left side. Waterfall - Next to Soda Dam. Spence Hot Springs - Five miles north of Jemez Ranger District Office on Highway 4 north of Jemez. Restaurant - Downtown Jemez Springs.
