Shenseea is a dancehall artist who incorporates many elements of rap and reggae into her music. She became internationally known through collaborations with hip-hop stars such as Kanye West, Roddy Ricch and Megan Thee Stallion. Born Chinsea Linda Lee in Mandeville, Jamaica, in 1996, Shenseea grew up mostly with her aunt and uncle, while her mother worked in other cities. She had to break off her studies for financial reasons. Her music career began with collaborations, including with Jahmiel and Tyga. Her participation in Kanye West's album "Donda" earned her a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year in 2022. In 2022, she released her debut album "Alpha", which stormed the reggae charts. In 2024, her second album "Never Gets Late Here" followed, which also reached high chart positions and for which she received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. In addition to her music career, Shenseea is also active as an actress.
