Today, we're sharing a slightly different kind of content on my channel; we're standing beside the most painful but also the proudest figures of this land. We're at the Edirnekapı Martyrs' Cemetery. We wanted to see firsthand the sacrifices that kept this beautiful country, whose streets we walk and whose history we discuss, standing. The tombstones you'll see in the video are more than just names. The inscriptions on those stones—"Şırnak," "Hakkari," "Diyarbakır," "Northern Iraq"—and those young lives speak volumes. The agenda changes, the language of politics changes, tables are set, tables are overturned... But the price paid by the heroes lying here remains the same. Some struggles cannot be bargained away, some pains cannot be erased by time. To forget those who gave their lives in the cold, snow, and mountains so that we could sleep comfortably in our warm beds is the greatest injustice that can be done to history and conscience. In the silent cry of Edirnekapı, I wanted to recite a Fatiha for those who truly paid the price, to remember them and to remind others of them.
