During our Slovenia trip, we explored some of the country's best-known destinations, starting with Ljubljana before continuing to Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, Lipica Stud Farm, Piran, and finally Lake Bled. We reached Slovenia by train and spent the first part of the trip walking around Ljubljana, where we explored the old town, crossed the city's famous bridges, and wandered through the streets along the Ljubljanica River. Ljubljana is often included in Slovenia itineraries, so it was the natural place to begin our trip. After Ljubljana, we visited Postojna Cave, one of the most famous caves in Slovenia and one of the country's most popular attractions. From there, we continued to Predjama Castle, the medieval castle built into a cliff that is often combined with a visit to Postojna Cave. We also stopped at Lipica Stud Farm, the home of the Lipizzaner horses, before driving to Piran on the Slovenian coast. Piran is known for its Venetian architecture, narrow streets, and views over the Adriatic Sea, making it one of the most visited coastal towns in Slovenia. To finish our itinerary, we travelled from Ljubljana to Lake Bled and spent the day exploring the area.
