Here is a story that appears in elementary and junior high school textbooks in Japan ー "Toshishun" written by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. The story will ask you the meaning of real happiness. In the ancient Tang dynasty of China, a young man called Toshishun was aimlessly looking at the sky. He was born in a rich family, but had used up all his money and became homeless. He is now wondering whether he should jump into the river to quit his life. Then, a mysterious old man appears and tells him to dig a hole where he points out..... Dialogues are in Japanese.
