Ep.5 - Dagli anni Novanta all’autofiction: nuove forme del racconto

In the fifth episode, Guido Brera and Walter Siti explore the transformations of Italian culture and literature between 1989 and 2001: from the fall of the Berlin Wall to the attack on the Twin Towers, years that marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new cultural sensibility. The dialogue explores how Italian narrative has progressively abandoned tradition to fragment into new expressive forms: from nostalgia for past revolutions to the cannibalistic and grotesque literature of the 1990s, up to the emergence of autofiction and the autobiographical narrative. The conversation continues through the works of authors such as Antonio Tabucchi, the Wu Ming collective, Aldo Nove and Niccolò Ammaniti, and Aldo Busi, concluding, between literature, theater, and music, with references to figures such as Dario Fo, Fabrizio De André, and Giorgio Gaber.
