If you had told me a year ago that this summer I would be back in Taiwan, accomplishing the things I did, I wouldn't have believed you. Yet, here we are, 2 months into an internship and a sky castle beautifully built. I couldn't be more grateful for all the opportunities I experienced this summer and all the new friendships and memories that will forever remind me of this. Taiwan felt even more vibrant this time because I was discovering it with my friends, grooving to our rhythm and dazzling around each day. Taiwan was my oyster, and all my family and friends, the iridescent pearls. Last year, I wrote that I hoped to come back a new person, my broken porcelain heart mended with gold; now, not only have the cracks shimmered, but they've come to shine and glisten, storing new jeweled treasures in the soul. Taiwan, I love you so much, and when we meet again, I know my memories this summer will find me. Through the whir of the metro, the blur of nightlife crowds and colors, and the moving stir of music and magic whispering through the city.
