Proxmox installieren – Von Null zum eigenen Homeserver | Schritt für Schritt Tutorial

In this video, I show you step by step how to install Proxmox VE and set up your own virtualization server. We start with the right hardware and briefly discuss which devices are especially well suited for Proxmox. After that, I show you which BIOS settings are important, how to download the Proxmox ISO, and how to create a bootable USB stick from it. Next, we move on to the actual Proxmox installation. I also explain how to assign the IP address and why it makes sense to reserve a dedicated range for static IP addresses in your own network. This way, servers, NAS systems, printers, and other important devices remain permanently reachable under the same address. After the basic installation, we set up the first virtual machine, take a look at what snapshots are, and why they should be removed again after maintenance work. I also show you how to configure backups to a NAS so that your VMs and containers are backed up regularly. Finally, we install our first LXC container using the Proxmox Community Scripts and look at why containers can be a practical and resource-efficient addition to traditional virtual machines. This video is mainly aimed at beginners who want to install Proxmox for the first time, but also at anyone who wants to make good use of a small home server, lab server, or mini PC for virtualization. #Proxmox #ProxmoxVE #HomeServer #Virtualization #MiniPC #Server #Linux #VM #LXC #NAS #Backup #Tutorial
