I travel to Dos Caminos, Honduras, to learn to dance punta and Yancunú with the dance teacher, Jamil El Único Indio Garifuna. The punta and Yancunú (war dance) are dances of the Garifuna people—an ethnic group of African descent in Honduras. I learn about the instruments used for punta, the drums, foot steps, hip movements, and air jumps. Is it possible for a Japanese guy to learn to dance punta?
