Teleferico

Quito’s cable car, the Teleferico, is a perfect day trip. It’s best to start out early, because the clouds usually roll in by the middle of the day. Show up early with warm layers, a hat, and sunscreen and prepare yourself for the best views of the city and a hike through paper tree forests. If you’re well adapted to the elevation and prepared, you can hike up to Pichincha Volcano.
