I use grain alcohol because it has little to no odor, and its what I have). Spray glass, dark bottles (if you only have clear plastic, use it): https://amzn.to/34u3wLo a deep bowl A 2" high brick or stone A dome-shaped pot lid. Length of time on stove: 2 hrs The Calendula Officinalis, we feel, is Nature’s Darling. Explanation of my homemade distiller and the process: The brick, ice, bowl and pot lid are my homemade distiller. You could purchase a manufactured distiller instead. During the process, water passes through the herbs in the pot and breaks the cells down. The steam rises taking all the wonderful properties with it. The (hot) steam is then condensed to water by the (cold) ice and drips back into the bowl. The brick raises the bowl so that the boiling water & herbs in the pot won’t splash into it and contaminate the water. Without the brick and the bowl all you’ll have is a murky herbal tea which wouldn’t last more than 2 - 3 days before going bad. This distilled floral water is good for up to 1 year. Hydrosols are usually used in skincare products, but I used it for this spray because I had extra lavender that I wanted to use up. 💚 TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@naturesdarling YouTube Subscribe here: http://bit.ly/naturesdarling Our Website: https://naturesdarling.com/ Facebook http://bit.ly/2lT9amJ Instagram: http://bit.ly/2kjZG3r Pinterest: http://bit.ly/2koWbc4 Artisan Soaps Playlist: http://bit.ly/2kCjQWF DIY Arts & Crafts Playlist: http://bit.ly/2lQjgVs “Clean” Recipes Playlist: http://bit.ly/2lYCsQD Natural Remedies Playlist: • NATURAL REMEDIES / HERBALS
