Exploring Uzbekistan: Khiva (Summer 2025)

Hey guys. Sorry for the long wait for a new video. I'm just very very busy these days. But anyway, here is a recap from summer 2025 in Uzbekistan (in Khiva to be specific), where I explored attractions inside the Itchan Kala like the Islam Khodja Minaret, Juma Mosque, Makhmoud Pahlavan Mausoleum, the Khivan ruler's palace, and some more cool museums and sites. I also ate some amazing Khivan plov as shown in the video. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in Khiva. Couple of tips: 1. Stay for at least 3 nights in Khiva (I stayed for only two, and I unfortunately couldn't explore all of the sites, especially considering how hot it was as I went in summer). 2. In summer (or whenever it's hot), be sure to bring a portable fan, preferably a misting fan, as it can really cool you down in the heat. 3. Whenever you want to go inside an attraction, you must purchase a ticket to go inside. For most attractions, you must purchase the ticket to all attractions you want to see from one of the 4 gates of the Itchan Kala. 4. If you come to Khiva not knowing what attractions to see (which was the case for us), you can always ask the ticketing agents at one of the Itchan Kala's gates about what attractions you can explore, or, if available, you can also purchase a guidebook about Khiva from the streets inside the Itchan Kala, if being sold, like we did. *One note: I am so sorry for not uploading videos more consistently; my life has just been very very busy. From now until the beginning of July, expect me to upload these following videos/flight reports from summer 2025: Uzbekistan Airways Urgench to Tashkent, flyDubai Tashkent to Dubai (where I explore Dubai after landing), and Emirates Dubai to New York JFK. In the beginning of July, I will fly Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A320 from New York JFK to Tashkent TAS via Doha DOH, though the focus of exploration will most likely be Qatar as I will stop in Qatar for 2 nights on the way back. Thank you so much for bearing with me all these months. It truly means a lot* #travel #explore #traveling #exploring #historicalplaces #vacation #uzbekistan #khiva #centralasia
