Starting at the West Gate residential complex in western Bucharest, this walk passes through a remarkable variety of neighborhoods, parks, major boulevards and public squares before finishing in Pantelimon Park, on the eastern side of the city. Along the way you'll experience places such as Parcul Liniei, one of Bucharest's newest and largest urban regeneration projects built on the route of a former industrial railway, the elegant Cotroceni district, Cișmigiu Park, Piața Unirii, Bulevardul Unirii, Piața Alba Iulia, and finally the quieter eastern neighborhoods, including the natural paths of Sticlăriei Park, before reaching Pantelimon. Rather than focusing only on the city's famous landmarks, this walk also showcases everyday Bucharest, from residential streets and local parks to busy transport corridors and lively public spaces.
