Many of us have an idea that the Gothic castles located in the northern part of Poland belonged exclusively to the Teutonic Knights. But are you sure? Do we only owe beautiful and powerful strongholds to the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the German House? We invite you for a tour of the Warmian castles, which, inspired by the strongholds erected by the monks, did not belong to them at all. Today we will visit three castles belonging to the bishops of Warmia, who, after the decision of the Pope in the 13th century, enjoyed great autonomy in the Order's state.
