David Sim - Manifesto of the “Soft City”
David Sim is an architect and planner, author of the book The Soft City and partner at Softer. During his inspiring lecture, David encouraged urban planners and architects to think in terms of "Smaller, Lower, Slower, Simpler" to create humane spaces. Lviv Urban Forum is a three-day forum for urbanists, architects, city planners and communities that took place on 28-30 June 2023 in Lviv. The forum was held with the support of the Government of Sweden, the Mayors for Economic Growth project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine with the financial support of the European Union, and the ReACT4UA international cooperation project ("Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade"), funded by the German government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The forum's partners are the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Prosperity Ukraine and Western NIS.
