Aikido principles: Mushin (無心 = No-Mind) - Aikido Virtual Dojo

In this video we talk about Mushin (無心) which translates as No-Mind. The idea is that we want to be present in the moment, rather than allowing our mind to develop scenarios or think about the past or any other thing that we might be pre-occupied with. When our mind is pre-occupied with other things, we are not reacting to attacks or anything that is happening around us in the moment, and thus our reactions might be too slow. ____________________________ Durward Burrell - 5th Dan Aikikai Marcin Hernik - 3rd Dan Aikikai Sandra Bridel - 1st Dan Aikikai
