Unlike Sodimac, Home Depot is a large warehouse where you can find many items and tools, especially those focused on home construction. Home Depot opened its doors in the late 1970s in Atlanta and arrived in Mexico in 2002, starting with three stores. But this store wasn't always as we know it today. In its early days, it's said that the founders of Home Depot had to give away $1 to each person to persuade them to enter, and that even the founders' children stood outside the store looking for potential customers… but they had no luck until the third day when people started arriving. Sodimac, unlike Home Depot, focuses not only on construction but also on satisfying home improvement, repair, and decoration needs. It was the first of its kind in Chile and in the Americas. After several stages, Sodimac Homecenter flourished in the late 1980s… and arrived in Mexico in 2018 with the opening of its first store in Izcalli, State of Mexico…
