Join us behind the scenes as we craft a one-of-a-kind Warwick Dolphin Pro I Custom Shop bass, made exclusively for PJ, the bassist of the iconic Brazilian pop rock band Jota Quest. Formed in 1993 in Belo Horizonte, Jota Quest has become one of Brazil’s most successful acts, known for hits like "Dias Melhores", "Fácil", and "Do Seu Lado". PJ, along with his bandmates, has helped shape the sound of the group, blending influences of funk rock and acid jazz into their distinctive style. This custom bass, built to meet PJ's needs, features a stunning 7-piece Wenge neck with Maple stripes, a Wenge fingerboard with Yin Yang inlays, and yellow front LEDs. The body showcases a beautiful Maple Burl top with black veneer and an Ovangkol back, all finished in a natural oil finish with gold hardware. With active MEC P/TJ pickups and Warwick’s 3-way active electronics, this bass delivers powerful and dynamic tones that perfectly match PJ's energetic playing style. Other notable features include 26 jumbo bronze frets with Warwick’s Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT), a solid brass 2-piece bridge, and reliable Warwick security locks.
