"Plastuny. Secret Recon Mission" is a multi-genre vocal and instrumental album by Modern Cossack Music, inspired by the legendary Plastuny — elite Cossack scouts of the Zaporizhian, Black Sea and Kuban Cossack Hosts. The name Plastuny comes from their distinctive method of moving stealthily while crawling close to the ground ("plastom"), a reconnaissance technique that is still used by many modern armies around the world. This album is a musical collection of stories about brotherhood, mutual support, endurance, agility, courage and loyalty to duty. Each track captures a different moment of the journey: a secret patrol, anxious anticipation, a stealthy maneuver, careful observation, a swift assault, a brief moment of rest and the joy of returning safely to comrades. The album blends traditional Cossack musical motifs with contemporary sound. Male vocalises, male choir, string arrangements and energetic Hopak rhythms merge with Folk Fusion, Hard Rock and Synthwave to create a unique musical atmosphere. "Plastuny.
