Reforma Tributária na precificação, na composição de custos e na tomada de decisões empresariais

Continuing the Tax project at PUC Minas, we present another meeting focused on discussing the main challenges of the Tax Reform and its impacts on professional practice. In this edition, we welcome Janaína Cury, tax manager at KPMG, with solid experience in tax consulting and previous work in renowned law firms. Throughout the meeting, the professor shared the perspective of someone who daily accompanies companies of different sizes in the implementation of the changes promoted by the Tax Reform. During the conversation, we discussed the main objectives of the reform, such as the simplification of the tax system, the strengthening of transparency, the expansion of non-cumulativeness, tax neutrality, and increased legal certainty. We also addressed the changes resulting from the creation of the CBS and IBS, the transition to the new model, the Selective Tax, and the impacts of these transformations on the routine of companies and professionals in the area. We also talked about: ▫️ the challenges faced by companies during the transition period; ▫️ The importance of integration between the tax, accounting, and financial areas; ▫️ The impact of the reform on ancillary obligations and fiscal management; ▫️ The need for continuous training to keep up with one of the biggest transformation processes in the Brazilian tax system. The meeting reinforced the importance of bringing academia and the market closer together, providing students and professionals with a practical view of the implementation of the Tax Reform and its implications for daily practice.
