It was my first long weekend in a while, so I headed to Nagano Prefecture. It was a 5.5-hour drive from Osaka. At an altitude of 1,300m, I relaxed and refreshed at a cool campsite surrounded by white birch trees. SAKU, who doesn't usually play in water, surprised me by wading into the cold river on his own! It was a new moon that night, perfect for viewing the Milky Way and the Aquarid meteor shower. Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I even tried my hand at filming the Milky Way.
