CIB Raids Illegal Warehouse, Seizes Large Batch of Counterfeit Coffee, Cocoa, and Fabric Softener; Over 200,000 Items Confiscated On July 24, 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phuwadej Chulakasevi, Superintendent of Division 1, Economic Crime Suppression Division, along with the Department of Intellectual Property, raided two locations: a warehouse in Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Saraburi Province, and a house in Thung Khru District, Bangkok. Four suspects were arrested and charged with jointly counterfeiting and possessing for sale goods bearing counterfeit trademarks of others that have been registered in the Kingdom of Thailand, and using the name, image, design, or text of another person's business or displaying it on goods, packaging, price lists, business letters, or similar items to mislead the public into believing that the goods or business belonged to another person. Authorities seized 226,720 counterfeit items, with an estimated value of 2,629,700 baht. The seized items included: 1. Machinery: Four powder and liquid packaging machines, a mixer, a mixing tank, a packing-sealing-screening machine, a barcode scanner, and a fume extractor. 2. Counterfeit products: Fake coffee sachets, fake cocoa sachets, and fake fabric softener sachets, totaling 416 boxes (168,588 sachets). 3. Raw materials: Cocoa powder, coffee powder, milk powder, sugar, and creamer, totaling 119 sacks. 4. Counterfeit packaging: Packaging sachets, sachet rolls, and cardboard boxes, totaling over 55,000 pieces. Following complaints from grocery store owners and residents in the Thonburi area of ​​Bangkok, alleging that individuals posing as sales representatives were selling counterfeit coffee sachets of a popular brand, police investigated and discovered that the impersonators were storing the counterfeit goods at a house in the Thung Khru district of Bangkok. The investigation traced the counterfeit goods to a warehouse in Saraburi Province, leading to a search warrant being executed at two locations. All four suspects confessed to the charges. However, investigations indicate that over 2 million counterfeit products have already been produced and sold. The Central Investigation Bureau warns the public to purchase only genuine products from reputable sources to prevent the sale of imitations and fakes.
