Webcast: «Introducción a la historia del manga»
How long is manga's history? What have been some of the most important moments and figures in its evolution into a pop culture phenomenon known worldwide? In this webcast, Oriol Estrada will present an introduction to the history of manga, exploring the roots of Japanese comics and their evolution to the present day. This webcast is an introduction to the online course: "Masters of Manga," which begins on January 20th. Presented by: Carmen Díez Orejas, Director of the Casa Asia Center-Madrid Presented by: Oriol Estrada, a graduate in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and with a Master's degree in East Asian Studies from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), is a founding partner of Espai Daruma, where he teaches the Manga Studies sessions, and combines his educational work there with coordinating activities for the Barcelona Manga Fair. He is the author of Songokumania: The Big Bang of Manga (Edicions Xandri, 2016) and co-author of Japan for Otakus (Diabolo, 2016) and 501 Manga to Read in Spanish (Norma, 2019), among others, and a member of the Association of Comic Critics and Disseminators (ACDCómic).
