FearDotCom (2002) - Visually Stunning - Technically Awful

I just watched Fear.com (2002) again, and honestly, I think it's the best-looking yet worst horror movie ever made. Visually, it's stunning—gorgeous cinematography, moody atmosphere, artistic design, and a creepy vibe that hooks you right away and makes it hard to look away, almost like it's got some hypnotic pull. It feels more compelling than a lot of other early-2000s horror, even predating stuff like The Ring in style. But technically? It's an absolute disaster. The plot is full of massive holes and inconsistencies that drove me nuts. The curse from the website supposedly kills you in 48 hours by manifesting your greatest fear, but the rules change constantly—sometimes deaths are hallucinations, sometimes they're real physical events with zero damage to the bodies. The opening subway scene has a guy get hit by a train, yet he shows up in the morgue barely bleeding. Victims die from "adrenaline-induced strokes," which feels ridiculous for young, healthy people. And how does this snuff-streaming doctor get thousands of viewers without mass panic or the site going viral? I broke it all down scene by scene with full spoilers. It's a chaotic mess of random ideas that don't connect, but damn if the visuals don't keep you watching anyway. If you're into so-bad-it's-good horror, early internet-themed thrillers, or just love roasting flawed movies, check it out—it's free on Tubi. What do you think? Is it redeemable for the aesthetics, or is it pure trash? Let me know!
