Ho Hey - The Lumineers, Wedding Entrance (with a twist)

We wanted the music for our marriage (back in 2016) to be super lighthearted - no unnecessary tugging of heartstrings! My mother had passed away 22 months earlier (three months before my husband proposed) and his grandmother had passed away weeks after his proposal. Things were sad enough without sad songs and wedding music. My husband and I have always loved Ho Hey by The Lumineers, however, the lyrics for "Ho Hey"'s verses are not as happy as the chorus, and weren't wedding appropriate. However, I had this image of the happy, bouncy chorus and the hope that the singing would take my Dad's mind off taking his daughter down the aisle without her mom. I should explain that the chorus goes on a bit in our version. The photographer asked us how many minutes it would take me to get down the aisle. I responded: "We're working with dogs and children so whatever happens, happens". All told, it took a pretty long time, but the singing was beautiful! I was expecting the song, but not so many people singing it. We hope you like it as much as we did! --- We believe that love is love. We only worked with people: from suppliers to venues, who would work with any couple, regardless of their gender make-up. Our wonderful minister shared our values and was so kind to us; he gave us a service that embraced everyone we love, regardless of their beliefs or who they love.
