I Went Into These Flooded Tunnels And Found Something Unexpected
There's not much left of this Victorian fort on the surface. But I found a small entry point which lead to the underground tunnels. I really enjoyed doing this explore but I needed waders for this one as the tunnels were flooded. But the benefit of that is that very few people have visited them, meaning they are pretty much intact. The tunnels held so many personal details, which really helped to picture those who used to work here. The fort was used, mainly as a lookout during WW2, but after that was left abandoned, and used for demolition practice, hence there's very little of it left on the surface. #urbanexploration #militaryhistory #urbexuk #tunnelexploration
