Making a Koa Wood Creek Net
This is a step by step how-to of how I made a handcrafted fly fishing net from beautiful koa wood. Koa wood is a very hard to find material, so when I come across some I snatch it up and horde it until it calls to me. I love building smaller creek style nets because they're perfect for backpacking or quick trips to the local stream. If you have been considering making your own net, I highly recommend giving it a shot! You don't need all the equipment shown in my videos--heck, you can build beautiful nets with far less! Give it a try and I promise you'll be hooked! If you do try your hand at net building or fish carving, message me on Instagram and share your pics and story!
