Remplacer, aliéner ou émanciper : que devient le travail à l’heure de l’intelligence artificielle ?
This Saturday, March 29th, the La Boétie Institute hosted an exceptional symposium entitled "Artificial Intelligence: A New Battleground." The third roundtable discussion explored the concrete effects of AI on the organization of work, highlighting new forms of exploitation and control: click-based work, the invisibility of workers behind algorithms, and the deskilling of jobs all bear witness to this evolution. This roundtable aimed to emphasize the levers that unions and political actors can use to regain control and prevent a work society entirely subjugated to algorithmic logic. 00:00:00 Introduction to the roundtable by Marion Beauvalet 00:03:07 Presentation by Juan Sebastian Carbonell 00:20:30 Presentation by Antonio Casilli and Paola Tubaro 00:48:52 Presentation by Nayla Glaise 01:05:42 Q&A session With: • Antonio Casilli, sociologist and author of Waiting for the Robots: An Investigation into Click Work • Paola Tubaro, sociologist, research director at the CNRS Computer Science Research Laboratory • Nayla Glaise, leader of Ugict-CGT and Eurocadres • Juan Sebastian Carbonell, sociologist of work Moderated by Marion Beauvalet, doctoral candidate specializing in work.
