Full 50th Anniversary Fireworks Show! | Six Flags Great America

On May 29th, 1976 Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL opened as Marriott's Great America, making May 29th, 2026 the park's official 50th birthday! The park held some fun events to commemorate the occasion, including a nighttime fireworks show! I headed to the park after work Friday night, and was able to watch the 9:30 pm 50th anniversary fireworks show! This is a full recording of the show, which included some new original music as well as licensed music from around the park, as well as some really cool fireworks! I think this was a much better showing than what I saw from the park last year, with much larger and more interestingly synchronized fireworks. Hope you enjoy seeing the whole thing!
