Allegro moderato Elias Elias (Israel), Violin --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vadim Gluzman (Israel) Violin One of the most extraordinary artists before the public today, Israeli violinist Vadim Gluzman appears regularly with the world’s finest orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, London Symphony, Chicago Symphony and Leipzig Gewandhaus, with prominent conductors such as Christoph von Dohnányi, Neeme Järvi, Tugan Sokhiev, Michael Tilson Thomas, Semyon Bychkov, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, and Riccardo Chailly. He has also performed at important festivals such as the BBC Proms, Ravinia, Schleswig-Holstein, Tanglewood, and the North Shore Chamber Music Festival in Northbrook, Illinois, which was founded by Gluzman and pianist Angela Yoffe, his wife and long-standing recital partner. Recording exclusively for BIS, Mr. Gluzman collaborates with today’s foremost composers – Arvo Pärt, Peteris Vasks, Lera Auerbach, Giya Kancheli, and Sofia Gubaidulina, premiering their works in concerts and records. Vadim Gluzman plays the extraordinary 1690 ex-Leopold Auer Stradivarius, on extended loan to him through the generosity of the Stradivari Society of Chicago. A graduate of Keshet Eilon, Gluzman has been a faculty member since 1999. Fiona Khuong-Huu (Japan-France-USA) Violin Born in New York City, thirteen-year-old Fiona studies the violin with Professor Li Lin and Kenneth Renshaw at the Juilliard Pre-College division. First Prize winner in the 2017 Grumiaux International Violin Competition, Fiona has made solo performances with the Mitteleuropa Orchestra in Italy and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra in Belgium. She recently won the third prize and the best virtuoso interpretation at the Louis Spohr Competition in 2019. She performed with her sister Sarasate’s Navarra at the Juilliard’s Centennial Gala and the Bozar Concert Hall. Most recently Fiona was invited alongside her sister Hina to perform at the Buckingham Palace, where they played Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins with Maestros Maxim Vengerov and Marios Papadopoulos. She goes to the Spence School in New York. Elias Elias (Israel) Violin Elias Elias, born in Israel in 1998, Began studying the violin at age of 5. He attended The Israel Conservatory for Music under Mrs. Delia Jacob, and currently studies with Maestro Chaim Taub and Mr. Roi Shiloah at Jerusalem academy. He performed the “Zigeunerweizen” by Sarasate with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Concerto for violin and orchestra in G. by W.A. Mozart, with the “Israeli Camerata Orchestra” – in concert series in various cities in Israel and Bazzini – solo for violin and orchestra, conducted by Chen Zimbalista Rishon le Zion Theatre. He Got Awards and Scholarships from AICF and scholarship from Ronen Foundation. He Participated in Keshet Eilon in Israel and PMP in USA and Heifetz International Music Institute. He plays a Niccolò Gagliano violin, kindly loaned by Mr. Yehuda Zisapel.
