The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a letter dated 03/19/2026 clarified the status of the Act on establishing the fact of permanent care (Appendix 8 to Order No. 560). Since this term is not defined by regulation, the duration of the document can be indicated directly in the Act itself by the local council commission. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes: the validity period of the Act cannot exceed the validity period of the conclusion of the LCC or MSEC on the person's need for care. The document remains valid as long as the medical conclusion is valid, but not longer than until the legal grounds for postponement are lost. The CCC does not have the right to demand that the Act be updated more often than the medical grounds are updated.
