I got a gig as an Aussie postie, it's a great job. here's my first day ;-) AusPost job

I enjoy working as a postie. delivering mail and serving the community Aussie postie motorcycle mailman, that I am. it's a nice community oriented job transcript --------------- OK, so I’ve landed a job as a postie. Motorcycle postman. Had the interview last week, filled out the forms for Aussie post today. I just got an SMS to come into work. It’s relatively close I’ll have a look, I’ll check it out. I’m a little nervous about this job for some reason. I don’t know why. But, I like bikes, I like riding bikes, so I think riding a bike and delivering mail will suit me With this job, I’ll have to hold onto my license. I’ve seem to have incurred a whole lot of demerit points when I had the Fireblade motorcycle. And, I think I’ll be quitting the nightfill position at BEEP, cause that job just sucks dogs balls We have a safety check, tires, oil and so on OK, so I got Graham, he’s showing me around. We’re going from letterbox to letterbox It’s getting farking boring. Just going from house to house and dropping off mail. This guy’s just explaining to me stuff, there’s not much to be explained. Just gotta memorise the streets…easy So this is a drop box, we pick up more stuff for our round. Are they sorted somehow? He gave me some mail, and now I’m off by myself. It’s not too hard, just gotta find the letterboxes. That would be one here, next one You service the letterboxes on the lefthand side, you come to a street corner, you hang a left. Just keep hugging the contour of the street I’m after number 4, that’s 6, so that will be 4 there OK, so by now, I’m getting a little bored, and a little bit tired, and hungry. But I think as a job, it’s going to be ok. So we got…what have we got here? Neutral, switch it off. It’s just getting warm, fark Let’s have a look at this beauty. It’s a honda CT110, single cylinder, fuel injected, drum breaks all around, it’s hard to lock up wheels on it, four gear semi-automatic, centrifugal clutch. It works well, it’s a nice bike, it’s not fast…. Well, that wasn’t too bad, 10 o’clock till 3 o’clock, on a little postie bike, delivering mail, scanning stuff, nearly dropped it on a bit of gravel, but these machines are fine, the job looks alright. It looks a lot better that BEEP, BEEP, farking shit job.
