Trains of Lansing MI - June 1991 part 1

Early in June of 1991, my family got a new camcorder and I soon had it trackside. Not only did it provide a sharper picture, but a faster shutter captured moving trains better, and it did a much better job in low light situations. These are the trains I filmed between June 17 & June 24. 1. A fast moving CSX freight heads east at Harrison rd in East Lansing. June 17 1991. 2. Westbound GTW freight at Harrison rd. 3. Westbound train 239, "The Laser" at Harrison with its usual CN power. 4. Eastbound GTW at the depot with a caboose. These were getting rare by this point. 5. A CSX eastbound at Michigan ave in Lansing. 6. The westbound "Laser" at Harrison rd. June 18 1991. 7. Eastbound CSX freight at Harrison. 8. Amtrak 367, the westbound Sunday schedule "International" with VIA rail equipment arrives and departs from East Lansing. June 23 1991. 9. GTW train 209 west at Harrison rd with 5 engines & an interesting mix of coal and piggyback trailers. 10. A very short GTW train 207 westbound at the depot. 11. An eastbound CSX with a Santa Fe B39-8 at Harrison. 12. A CSX coal train heads east at Harrison. June 24 1991. 13. CSX local D709 works the MSU power plant siding and then heads west into Lansing. 14. The Laser passing the East Lansing Amtrak station. 15. 2 eastbound GTW freights at the station.
