Jestem bezdomny, wyglądam jak wyglądam

Jurek is over 50 years old and—as he describes himself—still a "newcomer" to the homeless crisis. He found himself on the streets relatively recently, but he quickly understood the tight system of barriers that people without a permanent address face. Like many in his situation, Jurek doesn't have an ID card. His lack of documents effectively bars him from accessing any institutional assistance—a shelter, social support, or healthcare. When asked why he doesn't apply for them, he replies without hesitation: "I'd rather buy something to eat than spend money at the office." This sentence may sound like an excuse, but it's actually a description of the daily choice between paperwork and surviving another day. This film shows how easy it is to fall outside the system and how difficult it is to get back in when every step involves costs you simply can't afford. Watch the film.
