10 things to train with if you don't own a sword (HEMA Beginner Advice)
What do you do if you are new to HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and don't own a sword or maybe just on the road, but want to train some swordfighting solo drills? In this video I bring up everyday things to substitute a proper sword simulator. Obviously, a sword (plastic, buffer, blunt steel) would be better. But no excuses - train HEMA and train safely! :) Disclaimer: I advice to NOT use any sharp kitchen tools like knifes etc. Train safely! Be creative if you want to train sword fighting, but don't have a sword. My personal criteria for selection are: Straightness Length Weight Grip Weight Distribution Edges If you have additional ideas, let me know in the comment section!
