C.C.P.D. [LOST Dan Aykroyd COPS / Reno 911!-Style Show Pilot] (1992) 👮‍♀️🚓

From the "Lost and Obscure TV Pilots" department, here's a complete unaired pilot for a proposed comedy series, C.C.P.D., [CCPD] about the foibles of the fictional Costa Chula, California Police Department whose headquarters are at the "Sturbb Police Center." It starred Dan Aykroyd as Chief Randy Belstrap, and co-starred Khandi Alexander, Albert Henderson, Laura Innes, Robert Keith, Bruce Locke and Richard Riehle. It's a take-off on the long-running COPS program, and seems like a proto-Reno 911!. Too bad this wasn't given a chance. Includes: (edited) bars and tone Title card: Hickox-Bowman Productions C.C.P.D. About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television: The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: [email protected] Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation.
