Hughenden and Porcupine Gorge
In this episode, we travel in our 4wd and caravan to Hughenden to meet up with Rose's brother Ray. after seeing some of the local views we head out to Porcupine Gorge where we stop in at the Whistling Bore, then take off on a walk to descend the 580 steps down into the gorge and cool off in the large pool at the bottom of the towering sandstone cliffs that form this spectacular gorge. The gorge has been formed by water cutting through the Sandstone over millions of years and taking a walk into the gorge is stepping back in time by 600 million years to when this part of the country was at the bottom of the Eromanger Sea that covered large parts of the Australian continent in some parts even before dinosaurs ruled the earth. Come with us as we explore the gorge and more as we head towards Cloncurry. #caravan #adventure #touringaustralia #caravanaustralia
