When the rains arrive, the Mixteca land is filled with magic and gifts us with unique culinary treasures. This time, we went straight to the hills with my dad and my sister on a very special mission: to gather fresh tlapanches (wild herbs). Walking through these Oaxacan landscapes, breathing in the scent of wet earth, and sharing laughter, slips, and family stories is priceless. It's a blessing to be able to connect with our roots and learn from the knowledge our dad passes down to us about the land.
