New Arrtx Markers and Gouache Review!
In today's video we will look at some new art supplies from Arrtxthat I have tested out so you can see if they are right for you. Arrtx Christmas Alcohol Marker set of 12 Alp Version (blue box, bullet and chisel tip) https://amzn.to/3lNWZU4 Oros Version (white box, brush and chisel top) https://amzn.to/3lNX8XC Sets come with 10 alcohol markers not found in any other Arrtx sets as well as a gold and silver bullet tip marker. You get colors that will blend together well (a darker and lighter version of 5 colors basically) or coordinate when used in the same project. It is a bold and pretty holiday palette. The gold and silver markers are the same in both sets. I checked my swatches against my other Arrtx markers and there are no duplicates so thill will add to any Arrtx sets you have. The quality is the same as the other Arrtx Alp and Oros markers (I have reviews on both lines of markers) I would recommend these if you like the colors and those markers. Arrtx Gouache set 9A This is a set of 9 gouache paints in metal pots with screw top lids. The paint quality is good and the consistency is similar to jelly gouache. These are a traditional gouache (opaque watercolor) so they can be reactivated in left to dry on a palette. Pros: Price Colore selection Includes pigment info attractive packaging preforms well Cons: You must store this flat or it will be messy as the paint will stick to the lid If the paint dries on the threads of the jar it may be difficult to open The yellow uses a fugitive pigment that may cause fading if hung in light Bottom line: Choose the type of gouache format you like best. I prefer a jelly cup format where all my paint is open with one big lid over top. Some people prefer tubes and I a sure this poster color format will appeal to others. There is no better or worse format, choose what works for you. Try a class! https://lindsayweirich.teachable.com NEW!
