FLIR TG267 vs Hikvision DS-2TP IR Camera Comparison
FLIR TG267: https://bit.ly/2IDtvI3 Hikvision DS-2TP: https://bit.ly/353ColI Specifications: 00:06 Screen Size: 00:35 FLIR MSX: 00:45 Resolution & Pixel Pitch: 01:13 Field of View: 03:23 Color Palettes: 03:55 Built-in Laser: 04:15 Internal Memory: 04:51 Live Demo: 06:04 Example Images: 08:35 View All IR Camera Comparisons: https://bit.ly/3nZcDvy In this video, we put the FLIR TG267 up against the similar DS-2TP thermal camera from Hikvision. Both cameras feature 160x120 thermal resolution, and both are a similar pistol-grip camera style. Both cameras are also quite rugged - each camera has been drop tested to 2 meters and is rated IP54 against dust and water. Both cameras also have a 2.4-inch screen - you can see them side-by-side at 00:35. Additionally, both are around the same price right now on TEquipment. However, that's where the similarities end. Despite having the same resolution, the TG267 actually provides much sharper IR images because it has better pixel pitch of 12 microns, compared to 17 microns on the DS-2TP. You will notice the difference in your thermal images - check out the side-by-side demo at 01:13 to see for yourself. That said, the Hikvision DS-2TP gets some points back by having better thermal sensitivity of 40mK, compared to 70mK on the FLIR TG267. This rating describes the smallest temperature variations that the camera can detect. On the Hikvision, you will be able to pick up smaller variations. Greater sensitivity is always better, but it doesn't replace better resolution or pixel pitch. The FLIR TG267 does have a few big advantages when it comes to special features. Specifically, the TG267 has FLIR MSX built-in which embosses visual details in your thermal images. This feature provides immense detail and makes it very easy to see what you're shooting. However, be aware that it cannot be turned off. Check out a quick demo of this feature at 00:45. The TG267 also allows for easy reporting using the free FLIR Tools software. In this software, you can easily post-process your IR images and make professional reports. Hikvision DS-2TP does not have any reporting capability or image blending technology. The FLIR TG267 also has a slightly wider field of view, meaning the lens is a bit more wide angle. That means you can fit more in the frame using the FLIR. Check out the demo at 03:23 to see a side-by-side comparison. The TG267 also has more color palettes to choose from with 6 in total compared to 4 on the DS-2TP. You can see a quick demo of all the palettes at 03:55. Additionally, the FLIR TG267 has the option to use a thermocouple to take temperature readings. There is a mini thermocouple connection on the top of the unit, and a type K thermocouple is included in the box. Devin discusses this at 05:30 and shows the thermocouple port location.
